FEES

Applicants are required to pay both the i) Application Fee and ii) Licence Fee to complete the product certification process under this certification scheme.

Application Fee

An application fee (HK$1,500 per application) shall first be paid to initiate the certification process.

Remarks:

1. The application fee is non-refundable and the payment shall be settled together with the application form, CFP report, verification report and supporting documents to initiate the certification process.
2. Applicants are required to complete the certification within 12 months from the date of submission of the application. Otherwise a new submission is required and the Applicant is required to pay the application fee again. The fee paid by the Applicant upon application of or in relation to the CIC Green Product Certification is non-refundable regardless of whether the application is successful or not.
3. The above fee does not include bank charges and other extra fees (e.g. fees on remittance, postage, transportation, etc). Applicants shall be responsible for settling the above expenses.
4. The above fee does not include testing reports submitted by the Applicant as part of the CIC Green Product Certification requirements.
5. A new application is required if there is (are) modification(s) in product characteristics.

Licence Fee for Civil & Structural Materials Product Family

Upon meeting the Assessment Standard of the certification scheme, Applicants shall pay the licence fee to HKGBC for a three-year period, based on the number of products, to obtain the right to use the CIC Green Product Certificate. The fee details are listed below:

Licence Fee (each new application)
1 – 10 licences	11 or more licences
HK$750 per licence per 3-year period	HK$450 per licence per 3-year period

Licence Fee for Mechanical & Electrical & Plumbing (MEP), Architectural, Landscaping Products Families

Upon meeting the Assessment Standard of the Scheme, the Applicant shall pay license fee to HKGBC for a three-year period, to obtain the right to use the CIC Green Product Certificate. The fee detail is listed below:

Licence Fee (each new application or renewal)
HK$6,000 per product per 3-year period

Remarks:
1. No licence fee is required for General Green Product Category.
2. Application for licence renewal shall commence at least two months prior to the licence expiry date.
3. A Renewal Fee of HK$6,000 per product is payable upon each renewal of the licence for a three-year period. This fee applies only to MEP, Architectural and Landscaping Product Families.
4. Each application with its assessment result shall last for 3 years ONLY. The product shall then be re-assessed through a new application process if the assessment standard of the relevant product category is updated or the characteristics of the product are changed, to ensure that it fulfils the most up-to-date Assessment Standard.
5. If the Applicant has adverse comments on the result, he/ she can lodge an appeal in writing, with an appeal registration fee of HKD$9,000 per case, in 45 calendar days from the issue date of the result notification email. This applies only to MEP, Architectural and Landscaping Product Families.
6. The HKGBC reserves the right to change the above terms and conditions when deemed appropriate.
